Welcome to registration for the 2004 APAMSA National Conference. This year, the conference will be held in the largest medical center in the world--the Texas Medical Center. The theme this year is "Leading By Example." We chose this as our theme because we have incorporated a health fair into our conference. Our intent is to demonstrate the kind of potential we have when we work towards the same goal.

We also have an exciting and informative set of speakers planned including topics in public health, international health, and research. Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Su, Ih-jen (MD, PhD), the Director-General of the Center for Disease Control Taiwan. He is also the chief investigator of the SARS outbreak of 2003.

Conference registration will entitle you to the Keynote banquet, breakfast, and lunch. Additionally, we have planned a party in downtown Houston, a residency and exhibitor fair during the conference, and the opportunity to run for a national officer position. Finally, for those of you who wish to participate, our health fair will be a chance for us to serve the Houston community.

The official hotel is the Marriott hotel in the Texas Medical Center. The keynote banquet will be held in the Marriott hotel on Saturday evening as well as registration on Friday evening and Saturday morning.
